4 Indicators of the Real Condition of a Used Car

A lot of people admit that their major concern when buying a used car was its condition. They say that they didn’t know how to ascertain the condition of used Hyundai Santro Xing in Bangalore. They got their mechanic to inspect the car for them.

While it is always good to have a mechanic do the inspection, there are a few things that you can do as well.

Check the Tyres

This can be done with naked eye. All you need to do here is see if the ridges on the tyres are evident or not. If they are not, then it means the tyre has worn out. In such case the tyre would have become very smooth which can affect its grip on the road.

Check for Burn Marks

If the car has not been maintained properly then the engine oil will leave behind burn marks in the form of black rings. If the car is being maintained properly then the engine oil would be getting replaced regularly and would leave no burn marks.

Check for Rust & Dents

A lot of times sellers get their cars painted before inspection to hide the evidence of rust or dent. But if the paint job is not done properly then there would be perforation on the surface. Small bubbles will form. You can feel this by running your hand slowly over the surface of the car. Such an exercise will also help you locate dents and scratches.

Check the Car’s Trunk

This is one area which will give you a good idea about the car’s condition. Evidence of dampness or rust indicates water seepage through holes or cracks in the car. It will also give you an idea about the bottom of the car.
